the artist... Amy Citarell resides in
Norfolk, Massachusetts with her husband, Paul and three children; Molly, Jack and Abbey. Her lighthearted
artwork reflects her love for bright color and whimsy. Amy’s Harvest Moo collection
of original animal portraits are very popular for vacation homes, beach houses, bright fun kitchens, playrooms and will brighten
up and add a fun touch to any room.
After studying
Musical Theatre at Keene State College, I began a career in advertising at Irma Mann, Strategic Marketing, Inc., and Hill,
Holliday, Connors Cosmopolus in Boston, Massachusetts. While on the account service side of the business, I was constantly
intrigued by what was going on in the art studio... and I missed my creative background. My appreciation for traditional american folk art led me to
explore uncomplicated animal art where I ultimately found my real passion. I am constantly searching for unique pictures
of animals and painting them onto brightly colored background colors. The process of mixing and matching animals with exotic
colors and patterns to create a work of art is exciting and therapeutic, but most of all rewarding and limitless. Then comes
cutting and painting my own casual framework which finally uncovers the initial vision that began my imagination.
